Registering
Before you can add a listing to I Do Directory you first have to register by completing the REGISTRATION FORM. You will then receive an email containing your validation code and a link where you will need to enter the code to complete the registration process.
Once registered you will then have access to the Advertisers menu where you will be able to add your business by using the ADD A LISTING link in the left hand Advertisers Menu
Adding a Standard Listing
As a regsitered member you can add one or mulitple listings to I Do Directory. Once logged in, select ADD A LISTING from the left hand advertisers menu and complete the online form.
Enter in a Title for your listing, the URL address to your website homepage and then select from the list of category option. Note -If you cannot find a category relevant to your type of business please email us your Category suggestion using our CONTACT US PAGE and we will review your request.
Next enter a description of your business which can be up to 900 characters.
You can then upload up to 3 images or photographs which will be displayed on the details page. The accepted image formats are .bmp, .gif ,.jpg or .png. Each image uploaded cannot exceed 1 MB. If you attempt to upload aimage larger than 1Mb you will receive a system error.
The larger image dimension on the detailed pages of I Do Directory are set at a maximum of 200 pixels. Images that are uploaded with dimensions bigger than this will automativally be resized by our system to fit this maximum requirement on either width or height. For example: an Image 500 x 500 pixels will be automatically resized to 200 x 200 pixels, whereas an image 400 x 200 pixels will be resized to 200 x 100 pixels.
An example of good image sizing can be found here: DETAILS PAGE. We also suggest you remove any spaces and unsual characters from image file names ie: bridal dress.1.jpg should be renamed bridal_dress_1.jpg
Adding a Special Offer?
From time to time, a Wedding business may want to publicise a SPECIAL OFFER it's running for such things as discounts, offers, promotions or competitions.
Instead of having to adapt an exisiting CATEGORY LISTING or Pay a full years subscription for a new CATEGORY LISTING, I Do Directory incorporates an automated special offers feature as standard.
Simply enter the relevant details in the special offers section of the listing form and it will appear in the special offers section of the website.
Removing the text from the special offers text box automatically removes the listing.
Special Offers can be viewed by selecting the SPECIAL OFFERS link is in the header navigation bar.
Modifying a listing
Login to the Advertisers area and click on MODIFY YOUR LISTING in the left hand Advertisers menu. Select the listing you wish to modify and click "Edit this Link" which will take you to the Listing where you can amend or edit any of the fields.
Click on "Modify Link" at the bottom of the form to save the changes.
Editing a Profile
If for some reason you wish to change your registered password, contact email address and newslatter and mailing options then select "Edit Proile" in the left hand advertisers menu. Note - If you are not logged in you will need to do so.
Make the necessary changes and then click "UPDATE" to save it.
Renewing a Subscription
If your subscription to either a CATEGORY LISTINGS or SPECIAL OFFERS LISTING is due for renewal or has expired, you will receive an automated email informing you whereby you can renew it by Logging into the ADVERTISERS AREA and clicking on MODIFY YOUR LISTING in the left hand Advertisers menu and clicking on the RENEWAL PAYMENT button.
Adding the referral code
Once logged into the Advertisers area you will see additional links in the left hand menu. Under REFERRAL CODE, select the desired links and which will then dsiplay the Iframe Referral code for that particular listing. The simply copy and paste it "as is" into the desired section of your website.
It's that simple.
View Listing Statistics?
Statistics are only viewable by I Do Directory Listing Owners, so you will need to be logged in to the ADVERTISERS AREAand then click the relevant link in the "VIEW STATS" area of the left hand Advertisers menu.
Available statistics include your website ranking & Website Referrals (how many vistitors we have directed to your website) as well as a breakdown of your Customer votes and rating.
NOTE: Please bear in mind that we do not track either email or telephone referrals arising from the I Do Directory website, so Website referrals statistics only depict a proportion of the total referrals you receive from us.
Increasing a listing position
- Subscribe early: Get ahead of the game and start accumulating votes and review ratings before your competitiors hear about I Do Directory and do the same.
- Develop your Site Ranking: Your listing position on I Do Directory is determined by your I Do Directory Site Ranking. Prompt your Customers to visit I Do Directory and vote for your website and the Products and services your provide.
- Use the Referral Code: One way to help increase your ranking is to insert your listings referral code (found on the left hand advertisers menu once you have logged in) onto your website which will then prompt your customers to visit I Do Directory and vote or review & rank your website.

When a visitor clicks on your website link within I Do Directory, a SITE RANK FRAME will appear at the top of your website prompting customers to Vote or Add a Review of your website so effecting your I Do Directory Site Rank.
