What is included in a listing?

All I Do Directory subscribers receive the same listing features & functions which include:

  • Company profile of up to 900 characters

  • Three detailed Images
  • Full Business Address
  • Email Contact Facility

  • Full control of your listing to make changes whenever you want 24/7

The listing features are split between the LISTINGS PAGE and the DETAILS PAGE.

The LISTINGS PAGE is a simplified version of the DETAILS PAGE and includes Company name and your I Do Directory Site Rank, a thumbnail screen shot, a cut down version of the description and links to your Website, Contact Us page, View Map and Bookmark Us. It also includes links to the review and voting forms as well as any existing reviews.

The DETAILS PAGE is accessed by clicking on the ...MORE DETAILS link beneath the description on the LISTINGS PAGE and includes all the features of the listings page (bar the Thumbnail screen shot) as well as displaying all reviews, statistics and Google map.

How do I add my business to I Do Directory

First you need to register by completing the REGISTRATION FORM and then respond to the validation email that you subsequently receive.

Once registered you will then be able to ADD YOUR BUSINESS using the link in the left hand Advertisers Menu

I can't find a relevant Category for my Business?

If your business does not fall into any of our standard categories, please email us your Category suggestion using our CONTACT US PAGE and we will review your request.

How do I modify my listing?

Login to the Advertisers area and click on MODIFY YOUR LISTING in the left hand Advertisers menu

What Payment Options do you offer

We offer Secure electronic payment through Pay Pal which accept all major debit and credit cards. You no longer have to have a Paypal account to use Paypal - just select the CONTINUE link below "Don't have a PayPal account?" on the left hand side of the Paypal page.

What is the cost of subscription?

  • Category Subscription Initial Fee - : £120.00 pa.

What is the cost of renewing a subscription?

At the end of the first year the cost of renewal is as follows -

  • Annual Category Subscription Renewal- £120.00 pa.

How do I renew my Subscription

If your subscription to a CATEGORY LISTINGS is due for renewal or has expired, you will receive an automated email informing you whereby you can renew it by Logging into the ADVERTISERS AREA and clicking on MODIFY YOUR LISTING in the left hand Advertisers menu and clicking on the RENEWAL PAYMENT button.

Can I list my Business in Multiple categories?

Yes you can, however we suggest you only do this if you offer multiple services or products.

What are the requirements for uploading images?

  • We offer all subscribers the option to display 3 images on the Details Page.
  • The images to be uploaded can be of 3 major image formats, namely .gif ,.jpg or .png.
  • Each image uploaded cannot exceed 1 MB. If you attempt to upload aimage larger than 1Mb you will receive a system error.
  • The large image dimension on the detailed pages of I Do Directory are set at a maximum of 200 pixels. Images that are uploaded with dimensions bigger than this will automativally be resized by our system to fit this maximum requirement on either width or height. For example: an Image 500 x 500 pixels will be automatically resized to 200 x 200 pixels, whereas an image 400 x 200 pixels will be resized to 200 x 100 pixels.

Why won't my images upload?

Image names which have full stops in or spaces can sometimes cause errors on our system. So we suggest you either remove any spaces or replace them with underscores.
For example bridal dress.1.jpg should be renamed bridal_dress_1.jpg

How is my Ranking calculated?

I Do Directory also does not offer Premium Listings of any kind. Rankings are calculated using an algorithm that combines a listings total customer votes and review ratings. The combined totals are then used to determine a Listed Companies Site Rank. The higher the Site Ranking the higher up the listings a wedding company will appear on I Do Directory.

In other words, your listed position within the I Do Directory is determined by your customers and their judgement of the quality of the product or service you provided. (To find out how to better your Site Ranking, view the Advertisers FAQ page).

In so doing, I Do Directory empowers Brides and Bridal Couples with the ability to pass on their expereinces of using a service or product to other couples who are about to tread the same road of achieving the best services and items for the most special day of their lives.

How do I increase my listing position?

  • Subscribe early: Get ahead of the game and start accumulating votes and review ratings before your competitiors hear about I Do Directory and do the same.
  • Develop your Site Ranking: Your listing position on I Do Directory is determined by your I Do Directory Site Ranking. Prompt your Customers to visit I Do Directory and vote for your website and the Products and services your provide.
  • Use the Referral Code: One way to help increase your ranking is to insert your listings referral code (found on the left hand advertisers menu once you have logged in) onto your website which will then prompt your customers to visit I Do Directory and vote or review & rank your website.

  • Site Ranking Frame: I Do Directory also has a built in feature for promoting the Voting and Adding of reviews. When a visitor clicks on your website link within I Do Directory, a SITE RANK FRAME will appear at the top of your website prompting customers to Vote or Add a Review of your website so effecting your I Do Directory Site Rank.

      • What statistics are available to Advertisers?

      The reason you are paying for a listing on I Do Directory is to generate more sales, and in order to help you asses the worth of the investment we have included a statistics on Website Referrals (how many vistitors we have directed to your website) as well as a breakdown of your Customer votes and rating.

      NOTE: Please bear in mind that we do not track either email or telephone referrals arising from the I Do Directory website, so Website referrals statistics only depict a proportion of the total referrals you receive from us.

      How do I view my listing statistics?

      Listings statistics are only viewable by I Do Directory Listing Owners, so you do not need to be logged in to the ADVERTISERS AREA. To view your lsiting statistics just click the relevant link in the "VIEW STATS" area of the Advertisers menu.

      What about spam voting & ranking?

      There are a number of voting restrictions enabled on I Do Directory that prevent multiple submission of Votes and Reviews.

      What are Special Offers?

      From time to time, a Wedding business may want to publicise a SPECIAL OFFER it's running for such things as discounts, promotions or competitions. I Do Directory incorporates an automated special offers feature.

      Simply enter the relevant details in the special offers section of the listing form and it will appear in the special offers section of the website.

      Removing the text from the special offers text box automatically removes the listing.
