Tredegar House has been licensed for civil ceremonies since 1996, offering both weddings and civil partnerships. Wedding Ceremonies take place in the either the New Hall or Gilt Room
The New Hall dates from the late 17th Century and is described in the 1688 inventory as ‘The New Hall’ to distinguish it from the hall in the medieval building. It is a unique setting which can accommodate up to 100 guests for a wedding or civil partnership.
The Gilt Room, described in the 1688 inventory as the ‘Gilted Room’, probably served as a reception room to which guests withdrew after dinner on formal occasions. The Gilt Room is available on request for small weddings and civil partnerships of 20 or less.
